Wedding Ceremony at St John's Catholic Cathedral, Portsmouth followed by Wedding Breakfast and Evening Reception at The Montagu Arms Hotel, Beaulieu
We've been doing a lot of planning since we invited you to join us on our special day; flowers have been picked, menus chosen and timing confirmed. To make sure everyone knows where to be, and at what time, we've written everything down for you in one place. Please note that some of the important times have changed since the invitations went out, so be sure to have a good read of everything on this page.
We will celebrate Nuptial Mass at St John's Catholic Cathedral on Bishop Crispian Way, Portsmouth, PO1 3HQ.
Please note the postcode as there are two Cathedrals in Portsmouth. This is NOT the Anglican Cathedral in Old Portsmouth!
The rest of the day will be spent at The Montagu Arms Hotel on Palace Lane, Beaulieu, SO42 7ZL.
Our guests should make their way to The Montagu Arms for the evening reception, where parking is provided to the rear past the fire station.
The biggest gift to us is your presence at our Nuptial Mass, however if you would like to buy us a gift to start us off in married life as we renovate our home, you can find our gift list with John Lewis (number: 772322) here: John Lewis Gift List or with Amazon here: Amazon Gift List
It's a short walk from Portsmouth & Southsea train station to St John's Cathedral. Come out of the station main entrance and cross the road towards the large black University Halls of Residence directly opposite. Follow the road round the corner to the right and at the mini round about turn left and you'll be on Bishop Crispian Way with the Cathedral on your right. The main entrance is at the far end of Bishop Crispian Way.

It's important to us that everyone is able to participate in our ceremony and isn't distracted by their phones as this is by far the most important part of the day to us. Q. Can I bring a +1? Are kids welcome?
All of our guests will have been invited by name and have now sent their RSVP's.
Q. What time should I arrive?
Our ceremony will start at 12:15. Everyone should be seated in the Cathedral by 11:45 at the latest. Our Ushers will be on hand to help you get seated and provide you with an order of service. Evening guests should arrive to The Montagu Arms no earlier than 18:30.
Q. Where should I park?
Limited parking is available at the rear of St John's Cathedral - however you should be aware that the Cathedral is located in the middle of a busy City and is used as a pay and display car park. Please make note of several close by pay and display town centre car parks and allow plenty of time to grab a spot! Access to the Cathedral can be gained through the main doors if you exit the car park on foot and turn right. Please do not go through the shop/Discovery Centre via the car park.
There's ample parking at The Montagu Arms, both in the lower and upper car parks. Please park considerately and respect the Hotel's neighbours. There is to be no parking at the front of the Hotel. This area must be kept clear for the wedding transportation. The hotel car park is to the rear, past the Fire Station on the right. Anyone struggling to park should seek assistance from Reception. We have exclusive use of the hotel until Friday at 11:00, so there shouldn't be any problems!
Q. What should I wear?
Gentleman should wear suit and tie. Ladies should ensure that their shoulders are covered for the ceremony and bear in mind that dependant on the weather, the Cathedral can get a little chilly. Hat's are encouraged for ladies, although fascinators are also a great option.
Q. Whom should I call with questions?
Prior to the big day, you can call Matt on 07964 841205 or Pippa on 07531 691452. You can get both of us via email at matt_pippa@waltonm.com On the day, major problems should be communicated to the one of the Best Men, either Mark or Steve who will do their best to help, but please bear in mind that they will have other duties.
